I’m really looking forward to the Empowerment Centre opening. It’s still under construction, but the vision behind it gives many of us hope. Not everyone was lucky enough to join vocational schools or get formal jobs. This Centre will equip us with real skills—like hairdressing and farming—that we can use to earn a living. It’s encouraging to know that our community’s future is being taken seriously and practically supported.

I’ve been farming for years, but the training provided by the foundation opened my eyes to new, efficient techniques. Learning about composting, spacing, and drought-resistant crops has increased my harvest significantly. I’ve even started earning extra money selling vegetables at the market. What seemed like a small initiative has changed my livelihood. These agricultural lessons are truly empowering us to grow not just food, but better futures for our families.

When my aunt was diagnosed with diabetes, we didn’t know how to care for her properly. Through the foundation’s health programs, we received valuable information and support. I also learned about chronic diseases like Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, which had deeply affected the Muindu family. These sessions bring comfort, awareness, and guidance. It’s more than just health talks—it’s a lifeline to families like ours dealing with long-term health conditions.
